The Victorian Government is improving the vocational education and training (VET) system to make it easier for you to get new skills, or upgrade your existing skills, to help you get the job you want.

 

The Government now guarantees all eligible Victorians a government subsidised place in a vocational education training course of your choice through the Victorian Training Guarantee - elibilility criteria below.

 

Applicants for Diplomas and above

Individuals will only be eligible for the Victorian Training Guarantee for Diplomas and above
under this Agreement if they are commencing training on or after 1 January 2010
and are:
• aged 15 – 19 years regardless of prior level of qualification; or
• aged 20 years of age and over and undertaking an AQF level qualification
higher than the highest qualification held.

If you are Eligiblefor a Training Place under the Victorian Training Guarantee or Course Enrolment Fees for the Diploma of Logistics is $225.00. Refer to Student Handbook and Fee/Refund Policy for more information.

 

Applicants aged 15-24 years for all AQF Level Qualifications

Individuals aged 15-24 years will only be eligible for the Victorian Training Guarantee under this
Agreement if they are commencing training on or after 1 January 2010 and are:
• under 20; or
• aged 20-24 and undertaking a Foundation Skills course or at a higher level than the highest qualification held.

 

Applicants 25 years or over who are Retrenched workers

Workers will only be eligible for the Victorian Training Guarantee under this
Agreement if they are commencing training on or after 1 January 2010 and:
• are retrenched on or since 1 January 2009; and
• are aged 25 years or older at 1 January 2010; and
• are registered with an Employment Services Provider; and
• hold a Certificate of Separation from their employer; and
• are undertaking a Foundation Skills course or at a higher qualification level
than the highest qualification already held.
